I don’t understand this Biology question and need help to study.
The following 4 sections should be used to guide your research questions on the sustainability of your chosen food item (comparing conventional versus organic practices):
- Economic Impacts: Is this product expensive to grow, process, or dispose of? Why? How does this product affect local economies? The global economy?
- Social Impacts: What major impacts does the production, consumption, or disposal of this product have on people? Are there labor, health, environmental justice, or community concerns?
- Environmental Impacts: What major impacts does the production, consumption, or disposal of this product have on the environment? How does this product affect land use, biodiversity, water use, and air/water/land pollution?
- Recommendations: Which is the “better” choice in your opinion, considering the three above impacts (organic or conventional)?
