Federal Debt Ceiling
Answer those two question(a) and (b), don’t answer in the one paragraph.
(a) Identify and write out words or phrases in the argument that are loaded language.
(b) Rewrite the word or phrase so that it no longer contains loaded language.
Some members of Congress don’t want to raise the federal debt ceiling. They need to understand what that would mean for the economy. It would mean a bigger economic crisis than we saw in 2008. It would lead the U.S. government to default on its financial obligations—the first default anywhere to be caused purely by insanity.
