Philosophy of Morality Argumentative Essay

Help me study for my Philosophy class. I’m stuck and don’t understand.

Hi my paper is an argumentative essay for my Philosophy: Ethics class. I have to pick a position, come up with a thesis and defend my argument from possible counterarguments using evidence from the two texts below and any sources I think I need. It has to be 4-5 pages, double-spaced, and includes footnotes for whatever sources used.

The texts are:

Aristotle’s c (should be easy to find with a quick google search)

Kant.E. Groundwork to the Metaphysics of Morals (should be easy to find with a quick google search)

Here is an example of how the professor wants the footnotes formatted:

“Plato’s RepublicBook I,  ed. John Cooper, trans. G.M.A Grube, Hackett, Indianapolis, 2003, pp. 15-28.”

I have a loose idea (just a draft) for a position but honestly if you read the texts and come up with something else or want to strengthen mine that’s fine. It has to be based on what we’ve covered so far. We’ve covered all of Aristotle’s text and the first two chapters of Kant’s. My idea for a position is that “morality is based on the intention of a person when he commits an act and not just the act itself.”
