Case Study Overview
Case Study
The student will complete two unique Case Studies for this course, which will be a critical analysis of a real-life nonprofit organization using the concepts learned during the course regarding nonprofit development and management. The case study will include a paragraph introducing the agency, a bulleted analysis, and a conclusion, as described below.
Bullet Analysis
The student will complete an analysis of the agency, presented in a bullet list, format, identifying both areas of growth and areas of weaknesses. Topics that must be explored in the analysis include (1) background, (2) board members, (3) volunteers, (4) SWOT, (5) performance measures, (6) major functions, (7) fundraising, and (8) fiscal analysis. The analysis will include appropriate scholarly references. A minimum of 8 scholarly sources, and 2 biblical principles, but be included along withadditional relevant websites for each Case Study. The references will be cited, in-text, using current AMA formatting. The items on the list must be in the same order as they appear on the Case Study and all references must be in current AMA format.
Introduction and Conclusion
Introduction: For the opening of the paper the student will provide a 4-5 sentence paragraph introducing the non profit agency selected for critique, along with their overview of the mission and vision of the service for the agency to the population it serves. This should be completed in a single paragraph.
Conclusion: For the conclusion of the paper, the student will provide 1-2 paragraphs describing recommendations for the agency based on their analysis for how the agency can improve their organizational structure by improving on areas of weaknesses, capitalizing on areas of strength, being a role model to other agencies, etc..Recommendations and conclusions should be clearly connected to the analysis completed in the bulleted analysis provided in the main summary of the paper.
