Preschool Art Activity for Creating of Primary Shapes Discussion

Preschool Art Activity for Creating of Primary Shapes Discussion

Question Description

I’m studying for my Health & Medical class and don’t understand how to answer this. Can you help me study?

Category or concept:

What is the general art medium you are using? Like marking/drawing tools; 2D collage; 3D collage; paint and finger paint; manipulatives like play dough, goop, etc., Check your text or syllabus for additional categories.

Title of art activity:

You can title your activity anything you’d like; it helps if you include something descriptive.

What to include in your plan:

1-Learning Objectives:

Objectives must be observable and measurable; this means you can tell

whether or not the child accomplishes them. If you begin the objective

with the phrase “The child will…” or “The child will be able to…”

and follow this with an action word (verb), it might help you in writing your

objectives. For example:

  • “The child will blend primary colors to make a secondary color.”
  • “The child will match his/her actions to the descriptive words ‘fast, slow, high, low.'”
  • “The child will participate in a cooperative experience with other children.”

2-Materials and set-up needed: Be very descriptive in this section. Include specific details about:

  • So what materials will you need to gather to for the children to enjoy the activity? Be specific and detailed about the color, size, texture, number of items, kinds of items, etc.
  • Share exactly how you will set-up the activity and display materials, including a diagram or picture if that will help. Remember, how you set up the activity should help guide the children to know how many children can join in at once; and suggest how the activity is done. For example, paint brushes next to the water colors with water for cleaning the brush.

3-How to do the activity/process:

Describe what actions and skills the children will use to participate in this activity. For example, in a finger painting experience, will you be putting the paint on the paper or will the child? Will you push up the children’s sleeves first? If you listed scraping materials in #2, how will the children use them?

4-Helpful hints and guidance needs:

For example: Will the children wear smocks or cover ups? Will you push up the children’s sleeves first? How will you and the children clean up? Any safety factors?

5-Modifications:

I’d like you to share how you would modify or make the activity accessible for a child with one of the following disabilities:

  • sensory sensitivity issues OR
  • cognitive delays OR
  • limited use of right side due to cerebral palsy

6-Two open ended questions and two appropriate comments:

  • Share two open-ended questions AND two appropriate comments that you might use when talking with the children about their art.
  • Remember, open ended means there are many, many different answers!
  • And remember our class discussion about using descriptive not evaluative comments when talking with children about their art work. Something that can help you be descriptive is using the elements of art in your comments.

7-Resources used – where did you find your art idea

Note: It is recommended that you complete the assessments in this course in the order they are presented.

PREPARATION

For this assessment, you will be discussing high-priority health improvement needs in a community of your choice. These needs could relate to any number of areas related to the health of populations in the community. Some examples for potential areas include nutrition, smoking, diabetes management, drug use, or other concerns.

To prepare for this assessment, it is recommended you complete the following:

  • Use the Internet to locate a health needs assessment for your local community and explore websites with a .gov, .org, or .edu extension. You may find multiple community needs assessments depending on where you live.
    • Feel free to download several reports and compare them; you may find it interesting to review both similarities and inconsistencies among the reports.
  • Identify the salient characteristics of your community, such as geography and demographics. Also, identify qualitative information that characterizes the community, such as common perspectives and interests or other bases of social ties. Information of this kind may be provided in the community needs assessment, or you may cite it from other sources.
  • Conduct a second search for epidemiology trends in your community focusing on government, nonprofit, and educational Web sites. You may find multiple sources depending on where you live.
    • Are the trends identified in the epidemiology reports consistent with the needs identified in the community needs assessments you read?
  • Use the information you have gathered to identify three, specific, high-priority health improvement needs of your community.
  • Assess how government, community agencies, and other stakeholders are currently addressing each problem.
  • Complete the Vila Health: Community Health Mission and included questions to develop your knowledge around best-practices in researching population health data and applying models.

INSTRUCTIONS

Based on the community needs assessment and your research, write a 3–5-page report discussing three or more specific high-priority health improvement needs in your community. As mentioned above, these could relate to nutrition, smoking, diabetes management, drug use, or other concerns. The goal of your report is to describe the needs of the community and how the community is currently addressing them.

Consult the scoring guide to ensure you address all criteria at the level you desire.

Include the following in your report:

  • Identify salient characteristics that define a community.
    • These characteristics include considerations such as geography, demographics, and qualitative information that characterizes the community, such as common perspectives and interests, or other bases of social ties.
  • Identify specific health improvement needs of a community by using epidemiological information.
    • Be sure to identify three, specific, high-priority health improvement needs of your community.
    • Support your choices by citing epidemiological information from your research.
  • Assess the current engagement of community stakeholders.
    • Stakeholders could include government, community agencies, private citizens, and health care organizations.
      • These stakeholders may be involved in programs to address your identified health improvement needs or may be directly impacted by them.
        • How are these stakeholders involved or impacted by your identified health improvement needs?
  • Describe treatment or wellness models that address an identified community health need.
    • Identify treatment or wellness models that are currently being used to address at least one of the high-priority health improvement needs of your community.
      • Describe these strategies or approaches currently being used.
      • Examine each strategy to determine if it is based on a treatment model or a wellness model.
        • How you can determine which kind of strategy is employed?
        • Note: You must identify at least one strategy based on a treatment model and one based on a wellness model. This may require you to look at more than one of your identified community health improvement needs. Also, it is possible you may need to do more research to meet this requirement.
    • Briefly discuss general advantages and disadvantages of treatment models versus wellness models from these examples.
Additional Requirements
  • Written communication: Ensure writing is clear and well organized to support orderly exposition of content, with correct spelling, grammar, and syntax.
  • Length: Submit 3–5 typed and double-spaced content pages set in Times New Roman, 12 points, not including title page and reference page.
  • References: Cite at least three current scholarly or professional resources.

[Post First Discussion] Module 03 Discussion – Use it or Lose it!

Immobility can be long-term, for example being paralyzed; short-term,  for example wearing a cast; or temporary, for example traveling in a  car for several hours. The amount of time a person is immobilized can  have an impact on the nervous and muscular systems changing sensations  or movement.

Share an experience where you have been immobilized and identify what  body systems were affected by this immobility. Describe the symptoms  you experienced that indicated those body systems were affected. Explain  what caused these symptoms.

Module 03 Written Assignment – Advances in Treatment

Treatment options for acute and chronic diseases continue to advance  in efforts to cure diseases or manage symptoms and improve quality of  life. While working in healthcare, it is important to be able to  research treatment options to understand the different treatments or  questions patients may need to consider.

Select 1 disease directly related to one of the body systems reviewed  in this module. Research and select a peer reviewed article written  within the past 5 years discussing treatment options for the selected  disease and write a 1-page (minimum) Annotated Bibliography. For  annotated bibliographies, use standard APA format for the citations,  then add a brief entry, including:

  • 2 to 4 sentences to summarize the main idea(s) of the source including a brief summary of the disease and treatment option(s).
  • 1 or 2 sentences to assess and evaluate the source including if this information is reliable and discuss if the source is objective or biased.
  • 1 or 2 sentences to reflect on the source including how this information can benefit a patient and your understanding of the selected disease.

Use APA formatting for your citations and references. For more information on APA, navigate to the Resources tab in this course.

Commercializing a New Non Opioid Anesthetic Drug Case Study

Commercializing a New Non Opioid Anesthetic Drug Case Study

Question Description

I don’t understand this Health & Medical question and need help to study.

BKK: Commercializing a New Drug

Description

A major objective for the course is to give students an opportunity to study the compliance requirements required to formulate regulatory strategies to support product development and life-cycle management. This necessarily involves development and subsequent maintenance of an understanding of the specific regulations promulgated by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), or other global regulatory agencies, to commercialize biopharmaceutical, medical device and certain types of food products. One way to do this is to review case studies detailed by would be manufacturers of the aforementioned types of regulated products. The first case we study in this course is BKK: Commercializing a New Drug. This Case Study write-up involves your explanation of the case from a situational perspective, as well as your replies to specific questions presented by the case.

Case Write-Up Questions

In 2-3 paragraphs please present a situational description of the case that addresses:

What is BKK? Where is its intended geographic market? What is its intended indication for use from a clinical perspective?

What are the alternative paths to market from a regulatory perspective? (A description here is fine, as opposed to an analysis)

Who are the stakeholders involved in the commercialization process for BKK?

What is Worthington struggling with? What are the challenges he faces in bringing BKK to market?

How does the opioid public health crisis relate to the aforementioned challenges, regulatory or otherwise?

How would you evaluate the risks and benefits associated with each alternative pathway for bringing BKK to market?

Should Worthington be concerned with the competitive landscape for products that may serve the same clinical market that BKK purports to serve?

In your opinion is it a good idea to bring BKK to market? What do you think is the best pathway to the US market for BKK?

In addressing the questions presented, please ensure that you include a discussing of both the internal and external factors that are germane to making a decision regarding a pathway for BKK to be commercialized in the US

Please ensure that you integrate a listing of all critical considerations and factors that Worthington should take into account in making a decision regarding path to market

Completed write-ups should be approximately 5-7 pages in length, single or double-spaced (your choice) in 12 pt font
