Alzheimer Dementia Patients Symptoms
Within the weekly journal, you will reflect on any thoughts and feelings you have related to each course topic. You will provide:
- A brief introduction to each topic (a couple of sentences is adequate)
- Specific thoughts and feelings connected to each topic (based on readings, lecture content, and the films).
- A response to each journal prompt for each topic.
- Prompt 1:Give an example of a common daily activity or situation (i.e. going out to dinner) and then briefly describe how someone with dementia might perceive it quite differently as compared to someone without dementia.Prompt 2:How is our ability to imagine what it might be like to experience signs and symptoms of dementia important for giving this clinical population their due regard in society and to respond appropriately to their needs?How is imagination and/or perspective taking critical for ethical concerns for this population?
