Antibacterial Soaps Research Paper

I’m trying to study for my Biology course and I need some help to understand this question.

Everywhere you look in the store, there are “antibacterial” products. There are antibacterial soaps, antibacterial cleaning products, antibacterial baby wipes, etc. Have you ever bought any of these products? All of these products advertise that they kill the bacteria that cause disease, therefore you are safer when you use these products. On the other hand, every time you turn around, there is another strain of antibiotic resistant bacteria developing for which we have no effective treatment. Some authorities state that these antibacterial products do no good and only contribute to the development of these strains of bacteria, while other sources assert that these products help protect us from harmful diseases.

Your assignment for this conference is to research the topic of antibacterial products such as antibacterial soaps and respond by telling me where you stand on the issue. Your response should NOT tell me everything I need to know about antibacterial soaps; you should tell me WHY you came to your conclusions.
