Directions Genetics
This unit is designed to introduce you to the fundamentals of genetics. You will work your way through both Mendelian and non-mendelian genetics problems with a goal of learning how genes are transmitted based on analysis of probabilities. In order to complete this unit, you will need to do the following:
- Download the reading/study guide for the unit.
- Read the textbook chapter 8 and work to find as many answers as possible on the study guide as you do the reading.
- Listen to the videos, take notes and use the notes to continue filling out the answers to the questions on the study guide.
- Do the genetics problems on the Genetics Problems worksheet. Make sure you know how to do these problems as there will be similar problems on Test 4.
** Note** You are expected to do your own work in this I will be using new test proctoring software to help identify cheating. Any communication with anyone else or any use of materials that have not been approved will result in a zero for the test or assignments and will require that you meet with the Dean of Students before I will be allowed to return to class.
