Part2.Documentation and Accounting Keeping good financial records
Instruction
Part2 Documentation and Accounting Keeping good financial records is vital for a variety of reasons. Not only does it help to organize and maintain financial information, but in many cases you are legally required to keep certain records; thus, management will most likely also need this information. Your financial records will also provide you with vital information to help you manage your finances, and finally, certain records may be required of you when applying for funding through grants or other funding opportunities. Please respond to the following: What are some of the important financial documents you must maintain? Explain how you will store/maintain these documents. Explain how these will be useful to you and under what circumstances you will be using them. What is the difference between cash- and accrual-based systems of accounting? What are the benefits of each? Part3 The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) is a federal program that provides grant funding and reimbursements for nutritious meals and snacks to eligible children who are enrolled for care at participating child care centers and daycare homes. CACFP also provides funding for meals served to young children participating in afterschool care programs. Reflect back on Unit 1 and the hypothetical (or actual) early childhood organization/program that you envision yourself leading. Then, explore the CACFP grant funding prospect. Please respond to the following: Discuss two ways that you can cultivate a relationship with CACFP to enhance a commitment with your organization. Briefly describe a proposed CACFP grant funding request for the provision of nutritious snacks to young children in your afterschool program. State the title of your funding request (to catch the attention of the funding committee). How will your organization ensure for proper record keeping to show that the funding will be used for the specific purpose of the request?
