Public Health Malnutrition Among Children Annotated Bibliography

Determine a public health problem or topic that is of interest to you. This topic will be used throughout this course and in writing the culminating research proposal. If you have questions, please contact your instructor.

Conduct a PubMed search (not a Google search) to find five quality, recent, peer-reviewed articles for your review. Using the link http://guides.library.cornell.edu/annotatedbibliography (Links to an external site.), prepare an annotated bibliography of these five research articles (one page per article). Each annotation should include a full citation and a summary of the main points and purpose of the work, including:

  • Evaluation of the authority, or background of the author (1-2 sentences)
  • Purpose of the study (1 sentence)
  • Study design (1 sentence)
  • Description of methods–including a description of the study subjects and methods for data collection (3-5 sentences)
  • Main results and conclusions (2-5 sentences)

At the end of each annotated bibliography entry, assess and analyze the significance of public health journal articles to your topic. Discuss how this work will be useful for your own research proposal, and discuss any limitations of the article.
