Separation of Powers

Choose one aspect of the Constitution and write a 5-page research paper on the evolution and implications of this part of the Constitution. Students may write about an Article of the Constitution, an amendment, or an implied Constitutional right (eg. Right to privacy). Alternatively, students may choose an issue that has constitutional implications (eg. Slavery). In any case, the paper should include a variety of sources including books and journal articles. Students should demonstrate critical thinking in their papers; presenting the full range of views on the issue, examining the logic of various arguments, and weighing the evidence for each.
