The cases responses must include sufficient support (at least 2 scholarly sources less than 5 years old, the Bible and the course textbook for each answer).

BOOK: Khaliq, A. A. (2020). Managerial epidemiology. (1st ed.). Burlington, MA: Jones & Bartlett Publishers. ISBN: 9781284082173.

Read/Review: Chapter 3, Case Study 3.1

Respond to the following question sets. Include a description of how you derived the response.

  1. What are the top three cancer for DALYs? Are these differ from one race/ethnic group to another? What is the value of this information to the healthcare manager?
  2. In which race/ethnic group are lung cancer DALYs the lowest? Describe the impact of these results.
  3. Which race/ethnic group has the highest DALY’s from prostate and liver cancer? How can this information be used by a healthcare manager?
  4. How much does stomach cancer contribute to DALYs in each race/ethnic group? Why is this information important to the healthcare manager?

Changing Role of a Nurse E Poster Paper

I need support with this Health & Medical question so I can learn better.

You have to create an E-Poster on what you see as the future of nursing practice and the role of nursing in the emerging health-care environment. You need to predict the future based on present evidence.

The E-Poster needs to include the following:

1. Introduction

2. Statement of the issue

3. Evidence supporting the issue

4. Prediction of the future role of the nurse

5. Conclusion

6. References: minimum of three references from peer-reviewed nursing journals (encourage the use of international journals). Articles need to be within the last 3 years unless historical.

Importance of Vegetarian Diet for Body Nutrition Discussion

Help me study for my Nutrition class. I’m stuck and don’t understand.

Have you ever been on a low-carb diet? Did you feel like you had enough energy, or were you tired? When someone is on a low-carb diet, what is missing from his or her diet nutritionally? Would you recommend that someone go on one of these diets? Why or why not? (at least 275 words)

Comment these post (at least 50 words)

1. Yes, I have been on a low-carb diet. When I limited my carb intake I noticed that I was very tired and irritable.I would take naps throughout the day which is abnormal for me.I also found myself increasing my coffee intake to help me stay awake. After reading this chapter, I understand that limiting the amount of carbs that I ate made me tired because my body was not receiving enough energy in the form of glucose to function properly.Since glucose is our body’s main source of energy, by going on a low-carb diet, you are essentially cutting-off your body’s energy supply. Also, by cutting-out carbs you are most likely decreasing your intake of fiber which provides you body with important vitamins (vitamin B), minerals, and phytochemical that promote good health.I would not recommend that someone goes on a low-carb diet.I think it fine and healthy to decide from what foods you obtain the carbohydrates that your body needs, but I don’t think it is healthy to drastically cut the amount of carbohydrates that you are consuming. The DRI minimum intake for carbohydrates is 130 grams per day for your brain to function properly, but our caloric intake should consist of 45% to 65% of carbohydrates.Getting carbohydrates from fruit, vegetables, and whole grains is a healthier options than getting them from processed and refined foods.Apples, carrots, leafy green, oatmeal, and lentils are just a few examples of food that provide healthy carbohydrates. The saying that “carbs are fattening” is just a myth and is not in fact true.Anything in excess can be considered fattening so there is no reason to completely cut carbs.

2. Low carb diet simply means restricting oneself on carbohydrate consumption which is relative to the average diet. I have never been on a low-carb diet. All foods high in carbohydrates are limited and replaced with higher fat, protein and low carbohydrate foods. It is obvious for people on a low carb diet to often feel tired, this is the obvious reason for not including enough carbohydrates in their diet. This is due to an alteration in their blood glucose levels hence the reason for the general feeling of lethargy. Also, the ones who do choose a low-carb diet they may not get enough of certain Vitamins and minerals. Other than Vitamin, there are important nutrients that lack in a low-carb diet. They include Vitamin C, magnesium, iron, Vitamin D, Vitamin E, and Calcium. In order for your body to function well you might want to consider micronutrients. It is important to note that severe deprivation of carbohydrates which is less than 0.7 grams a day, can lead to a condition called ketosis. Ketosis is when your blood lacks enough glucose for energy, so your body breaks down stored fats leading to the buildup of ketones. Low-carb diet is nutritionally deficient in vitamins such as vitamin E which creates muscle weakness. A low carb diet has a lot of significant health impacts such as weight loss, management of diabetes, metabolic syndromes, cardiovascular diseases as well as blood pressure. Therefore, it is highly recommendable for the people who fall in the mentioned categories. So, I wouldn’t recommend someone to go on these diets. Especially because they’re bad for your heart, which could increase your heart disease or certain cancer may occur.

Importance of Team Building in Workplace Discussion

I’m working on a Health & Medical discussion question and need a sample draft to help me study.

Team Building

Teamwork is ubiquitous in the work world today. Teams work together both face-to-face and around the world as technology provides more and more opportunities for distance collaboration. The intricacies of forming effective working teams can be daunting because the stakes are often very high. Much time, effort, and other resources can be wasted if a team is not cohesive, communicative, motivated, accountable, and goal-oriented. When the project to be tackled is important and costly, as is often the case in health care, failure can be devastating to an organization, both in terms of outcomes and morale.

Health care administrators work in an environment that is particularly impacted by interprofessional efforts. Building an effective work team requires a great deal of insight, attention, and skill. For this Assignment, examine the following scenario and focus on effectively selecting team members, concepts of team management, and principles of team dynamics.

Scenario: You are the newly appointed chief operating officer for Thomason Health System (THS), a large health care delivery system that will be acquiring and implementing a new information technology system: “Electronic Medical Records” (EMRs). The organization has many and differing opinions about EMRs, but the CEO and the board of directors want you to establish an onboarding team that will help facilitate the organization-wide adoption of this new technology. Your main responsibility is to identify five team members from a short list of candidates and facilitate the launch of an effective team through conflict resolution and team building. This team will present a unified message and facilitate cultural change within the greater organization.

Interventions for Adolescent Substance Abuse Discussion

Need help with my Health & Medical question – I’m studying for my class.

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING WORD LIMIT REQUIREMENTS:

Please note that each and every assignment has its own word limit.

Interventions for Adolescent Substance Abuse: An Overview of Systematic Reviews and framework

Unhealthy habits often take place in the early stages of life and become health challenges in the future. Substance abuse creates major problems for families, individuals, and communities which cause expensive social, physical, and mental health issues (Finkelstein, 2016). An overview of systematic review has been implemented to assess the efficiency of interventions, and how they would benefit in preventing substance abuse in adolescents. The framework illustrates outcomes to communities and individuals, and societal levels to show how quickly nonstop impacts could provide improved adult life, enhanced health, and better work productivity (Finkelstein, 2016). These personal effects can help the well-being of the community and individuals which in turn can assist with nationwide progress and financial health.

Methodology, Procedures

To classify systematic reviews on interventions in adolescent populations, literature that was published up to December 2015 was used to detect at-risk populations where substance abuse was mostly used and abused. Populations assessed for substance abuse included adolescents 11-19 years old, as well as youths aged 15-24 years (Finkelstein, 2016). Additional published systematic reviews on interventions for substance abuse in adolescents were searched using Cochran Library and PubMed. Two separate summaries were incorporated to distinguish systematic reviews that matched the objectives of the sources. A total of 46 systematic reviews were implemented to emphasize on tracking interventions for smoking/tobacco use, alcohol use, drug use, and additional combinations of substance abuse (Finkelstein, 2016).

Findings

The overview provides that among smoking/tobacco use interventions and prevention-based programs are effective in decreasing smoking. Interventions used in a school setting and prevention interventions moderate strategies, and goal setting help with the reduced frequency of drinking (Finkelstein, 2016). Family-based interventions have little to no effect on alcohol abuse among adolescents while computer-delivered interventions are most effective to cut down the amount and frequency of college-aged students. There is not enough of evidence in the implementation of alcohol advertising limits, and multiple-step interventions (Finkelstein, 2016). For drug use, an intervention that was school-based created a mixture of social competence and social influence methods that have provided safe effects in preventing drugs and substance abuse use. Overall, lesson-based delivery platforms are a great way for targeting adolescents for substance abuse.

Discuss the importance of evaluation frameworks in the context of your own project.

Implementing the correct evaluation framework is key when creating and evaluating a project plan. In implementing my own project design, the importance of the framework would be to monitor and guide the assessment of the project by explaining key components. These goals and objectives would be incorporated to provide step by step guidance with a clear understanding of the plan to achieve desired results. Frameworks that provide monitoring and evaluations help develop plans and implementation of monitoring and evaluation activities, help analyze the program for the project, articulate program goals that are measurable with long-term objectives, establish activities that will provide desired outcomes and impacts without the use of accessible resources to conduct tough evaluations (“Monitoring and Evaluation Frameworks,” 2019).
