Introduction. Requirements for Patient Safety suggest that students encounter patients well prepared. In clinical laboratory practice (CLP), the students simulate patient situations as a preparation for internship. Various CLP models have been tried out to meet the students’ prerequisites and learning strategies. Objectives. The purpose of this study was to try out two different learning sessions related to the bed bath procedure. Design and Methods. The study has a descriptive, quantitative design with elements from clinically controlled trials. Sample. The population of 160 first-year students was randomly divided into two classes. Questionnaires. Two questionnaires were answered with six-month intervals: Form 1 immediately after the first training session and Form 2 a short time after clinical practice. Findings.

A majority of the nursing students reported that the exercises in the clinical lab were a good way to prepare for the practice, although most of them did not perceive that the procedure conducted at the university resembled how it is conducted in clinical practice. Age or level of discomfort related to organization of the skills training did not have impact on the students’ confidence in mastering bed bath in clinical practice. Students without previous experience were less confident to master the procedure in clinical practice, but the results evened out during the internship. Conclusions. The results from this study could indicate that the students’ age to a larger extent should be considered in the universities’ facilitation of nursing students’ clinical preparations, to improve the transition to “real life” as smoothly and meaningfully as possible to nursing students.

substantial part of teaching efforts

1. Introduction

The practice field is a significant learning arena for nursing students in Norway, as half of the bachelor’s program takes place in clinical practice [1]. Thus, preparations for the stu- dents’ meeting with real patients constitute a substantial part of teaching efforts within the university. The comprehension of the transfer value of these preparations when it comes to clinical practice probably has an impact on students’ achievements in the field of practice [2]. It has been argued that nursing education is inadequate in preparing students for practice and contributes to burnout syndrome among nurses and an earlier retirement from the profession [3, 4].

Nursing students have various backgrounds and differ- ent prerequisites for goal achievement in accordance with the National Curriculum of Nursing [1]. Requirements for Patient Safety [5] suggest that students encounter patients well prepared and with the proper knowledge and practical

Non Traditional Health Care Practices

Non Traditional Health Care Practices

Research different popular nontraditional health care practices. Write a 1,000-1,200-word paper exploring nontraditional health care practices and include the following:

  1. Describe nontraditional health care practices in different cultures. Compare at least three cultures.
  2. Explain the importance of these practices in providing holistic and quality health care.
  3. Identify the nontraditional health care options in your areas. And identify the number of people choosing to use them over traditional medical practices. Propose reasons why the number of people using nontraditional health care options is rising.

Instructions

During this course, you will learn the components of a research study. Each week you will learn components of the research process through your readings and application of the knowledge gained to published research articles. At the end of the course, you will complete a review of a nursing research article utilizing all of the components of the research process.

Using the Week 2 research template, identify the research components, listed on the template, as you begin to examine research studies. Review your two assigned articles and address each of the following criteria:

  • Identify and describe
    • The problem
    • Purpose
    • Hypothesis or research questions of each study.
  • Discuss the significance of the research to nursing practice.
  • Identify two details to support the research as qualitative or quantitative.
  • NOTE: If a component is not addressed, the student receives a zero for that component.

Cite all sources in APA format.

Equitable Servitude

Equitable Servitude

Assume that you are lucky enough to own 200 acres of land in a beautiful valley. Your land begins about half way up the hill and slopes gently down to a stream, which runs through the valley. The central portion of your land has been cleared just enough to give you a spectacular view across a meadow you own, which is filled with wildflowers, is edged by large trees, and slopes gently down to the stream. Your house is at the top part of your land, close to the one road that goes through the area.

On the other side of the highway, 100 acres of land is owned by someone who has lived in the area for years, and like the rural character of the area, but is financially tempted to subdivide the land if that becomes feasible. Your neighbor’s house is situated so that he also benefits tremendously by the view across your land to the stream.

Equitable Servitude

Right now, your neighbor seems interested in making a deal with you that if you will not increase the height of your house, which would block his view of the stream, then he will not subdivide his land. Thus, the rural character of the area would be preserved – at least for a time.

As a lawyer, you realize the conditions may change, so the permanent restrictions (such as easements) would not be appropriate for either you or your neighbor. But you would like to impose some restrictions on both pieces of land so that, for the foreseeable future, the rural character of the land will be preserved.

Draw up an equitable servitude that will appropriately restrict the height of buildings to be built on your land in the future. And ALSO draft an appropriate equitable servitude for your neighbor to place on his land – limiting subdivision and constructions of additional buildings.

KEY POINTS

· Apple on Tuesday filed counterclaims and responses in its legal battle with Fortnite creator Epic Games and is now seeking damages for Epic Games’ breach of contract. It’s unclear how much Apple is asking for in damages.

· Apple said in the filing that Epic Games has earned over $600 million from its app store.

· “Although Epic portrays itself as a modern corporate Robin Hood, in reality it is a multi-billion-dollar enterprise that simply wants to pay nothing for the tremendous value it derives from the App Store,” Apple says in the filing.

Apple on Tuesday shot back in its legal battle with Fortnite creator Epic Games, filing a response and counterclaims alleging that the gaming company breached its contract with Apple and seeking an unspecified amount in damages.

″Epic’s lawsuit is nothing more than a basic disagreement over money,” Apple said in a filing with the District Court for the Northern District of California. “Although Epic portrays itself as a modern corporate Robin Hood, in reality it is a multi-billion dollar enterprise that simply wants to pay nothing for the tremendous value it derives from the App Store.”

The dispute between Apple and Epic Games began on Aug. 13, when Epic Games published a version of Fortnite to the Apple App Store that included a method for users to pay for in-game content without giving Apple its usual 30% cut. Apple removed the app from the App Store, and Epic Games sued Apple later in the day.

creating new apps or updating Fortnite on Apple’s platforms.

Apple followed up by suspending Epic Games’ developer account on Aug. 28, which prevents the company from creating new apps or updating Fortnite on Apple’s platforms.

Apple is now going one step further, asking the court to hold Epic liable for breach of contract and other counts, seeking restitution of all money Fortnite collected through its payment system, and seeking a permanent injunction banning its external payment mechanism in all apps, including Fortnite.

Apple’s response suggests it was blindsided by Epic, and even notes that Epic executives “recognized and thanked Apple for its support and promotion of Fortnite events” as recently as April 2020.

″Unbeknownst to Apple, Epic had been busy enlisting a legion of lawyers, publicists, and technicians to orchestrate a sneak assault on the App Store. Shortly after 2:00 a.m. on August 13, 2020, the morning on which Epic would activate its hidden commission-theft functionality, Mr. Sweeney again emailed Apple executives, declaring that ‘Epic will no longer adhere to Apple’s payment processing restrictions.’”

Apple said in the filing that Epic Games has earned over $600 million from the App Store.

Epic Games has argued Apple is suppressing free-market competition and has asked for a preliminary injunction that would restore Fortnite back to the App Store and reinstate its developer account. A hearing is currently scheduled for late September, although the dates could change.

Epic declined to comment beyond what it has said in earlier blog posts.
